The NinjaTrader to MT5 Trade Copier operates as an integrated solution that connects NinjaTrader 8 with MetaTrader 5 through two core components working together on the same machine.
Installed on NinjaTrader 8, this indicator monitors all trade activity on the instrument to which it is attached — whether placed manually or generated by an automated strategy. Each executed order is captured and transmitted locally to the MT5 side in real time.
Running inside MetaTrader 5, this Expert Advisor listens for incoming signals from the NinjaTrader side and executes the corresponding trades in your MT5 terminal automatically.
This version of the copier is designed for local operation, meaning both MT5 and NinjaTrader must be running on the same computer. All trade replication takes place locally without the use of external servers.
Copying trades is only possible in one direction: from NinjaTrader to MetaTrader 5. Due to technical limitations of the platforms, simultaneous two-way trade copying is not supported.
Trade copying occurs at a speed of less than 0.1 seconds, ensuring rapid synchronization between platforms.
Works with both manually placed trades and those generated by automated systems, making it suitable for a wide range of trading approaches.
Pending orders are not copied at the moment they are placed. They are replicated only when triggered and executed, ensuring accurate alignment with real market execution.
NinjaTrader uses a netting model, while MetaTrader 5 supports both netting and hedging account types. The Trade Copier continuously synchronizes the position on the target symbol — matching the direction and volume from NinjaTrader. On MT5 hedging accounts, positions may be partially closed to reach the required net volume. On MT5 netting accounts, trades are applied as a net position update.
The Trade Copier enables parallel copying of trades across multiple instruments simultaneously, supporting diverse portfolio strategies without additional configuration.
Traders can adjust lot sizes freely, allowing precise control over position scaling on the MT5 side independently of the original trade size in NinjaTrader.
Stop Loss and Take Profit orders placed in NinjaTrader are automatically applied to the corresponding MT5 positions. Three copy modes are available: Price (absolute SL/TP price levels from NT8), Distance (SL/TP computed from market price in points), and Percent (SL/TP computed as a percentage from market price).
When NT8 and MT5 positions drift out of sync, a two-click confirmation on the NT8 interface sends the current NT8 position state to MT5. The receiver computes the difference and converges by closing the excess or opening the shortfall — without disrupting positions that are already correct.
An optional risk control module protects the MT5 account with configurable limits — daily loss, daily profit, maximum position size, minimum account balance, and allowed trading hours. All enabled limits must pass for an entry to be executed. Limits with flatten enabled close all MT5 positions immediately when breached.
Automatically blocks entries and optionally flattens MT5 positions around high-impact economic events. Configurable per currency (USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, AUD, CAD, NZD), impact level (high, medium, or low), and blackout window (minutes before and after the event). The economic calendar is fetched automatically.
Connect any number of MT5 Receiver EA instances to the same NinjaTrader Sender simultaneously. Run multiple MT5 terminals on the same PC or VPS, each with its own Receiver EA attached to the relevant chart, to replicate trades across as many accounts or brokers as needed.
